ASK THE EDITORS!
DARREN IOVINO
What got you into video?
My parents bought our family a VHS camcorder when I was 12. My brother and I started using it to films crazy skits and videos. We didn’t have an edit system, so we had to use the camera’s audio and video dub features to creatively alter what we were making. If that kid could see how easy that is now with NLEs, he would lose his mind!
What’s one fun fact about you?
I may work mostly in post production, but I am also the in-house certified drone pilot.
What excites you about your work?
I love taking raw footage and shaping it into a finished piece through editing, motion tracking, graphics creation by pulling all the skills together that I’ve picked up throughout the years to create something that’s never been seen before.
Favorite Movie?
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. My brothers and I watched that movie almost everyday one summer when we were kids. I love Gene Wilder’s interpretation of the recluse chocolatier, throwing out witty one liners pulled from famous literary works.

I’ve been working my way through the Marvel Catalog. I just finished Loki and I highly recommend it.
What is the quickest turnaround on a project you’ve worked on?
Creating videos at the BMW Championship in Chicago. We would shoot and edit recap videos in the same day. The crew would start shooting at 7 in the morning and finish around 3 in the afternoon. I had to deliver a 3-5 minute recap of the day by 5.
