AURORA FILMS NAMED PENNSYLVANIA STATE QUALIFIED PRODUCTION AND POST-PRODUCTION FACILITY

QUALIFYING PRODUCTIONS MAY RECEIVE UP TO 30 PERCENT TAX CREDIT WHEN USING THE AURORA FILMS FACILITY

Lititz, Pennsylvania (April 2021) Aurora Films, a full-service production company located in the Rock Lititz Community,  announced it has received state-qualified production and post-production facility accreditation from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Qualifying film and video productions using the Aurora Films studio or soundstage, or Aurora Films post-production services, may receive up to a 30 percent tax credit.

“This accreditation means qualifying productions can receive a tax credit matching those currently offered in Georgia and New York, and higher than the current tax credit offered in California,” said Robert Black, General Manager and Partner, Aurora Films. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this tax credit to productions, along with the services and amenities available at our new location in the Rock Lititz Community.”

A film production is eligible for the tax credit program if Pennsylvania production expenses comprise at least 60 percent of the film’s total production expenses. Eligibility is restricted to the following types of film production: a feature film, a television film, a television talk or game show series, a television commercial, a television pilot or each episode of a television series intended as programming for a national audience.

Aurora Films, established in 2001, currently provides on-site, in-studio, and motion-graphic video capabilities for local, national, and international brands. Capabilities include but are not limited to film, episodics, streaming, live events, commercial and corporate content, and independent films.

“The Rock Lititz Community was chosen as the site for our newest facility so clients can have access to top production-based vendors and resources. The Community is a short drive from New York, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia, making it the ideal location for production. The Community has also grown to include a hotel, several multi-tenant facilities, walking trails, community space, and more,” said Robert Black, General Manager and Partner, Aurora Films.

“Rock Lititz is constantly growing to meet the needs of an evolving industry,” offered Amy Gaio, Studio Manager, Rock Lititz. “Since we opened in 2014, we gained on-site resources in design, manufacturing, streaming, logistics, and more. Our goal is to be adaptable enough to support any client where they are and find creative ways to customize each experience at Rock Lititz.”

In addition to access to the Aurora Films soundstage, the community is also home to The Studio, which stands at 100 feet in the center of Rock Lititz, boasting 30,000 square feet of flexible, open space, and one of the strongest ceiling grids in the world. The community also offers a streaming lab, as well as vendors specializing in XR video, lighting, scenic design, manufacturing, audio, and more.
