POSITION SUMMARY:

Aurora Films is seeking a Freelance Producer. The Producer’s primary responsibility is to ensure projects operate smoothly from pre-production through post-production. The Producer should be personable and must communicate well. The Producer must possess an extensive understanding of the full video production process, with great emphasis on pre-production timelines, processes, and project management. They should be adaptable, resourceful, and must work well with others in a deadline-driven environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serving as the primary point of contact between key stakeholders and Aurora Films

• Overseeing and managing projects through their entirety, keeping the production within budget

• Maintaining communication as projects move through each production department

• Developing production plans, schedules, and call sheets

• Sourcing talent and vendors

• Location scouting

• Crewing and managing travel logistics

• Overseeing the production shoot, ensuring schedules are met

• Troubleshooting any issues that may arise during production or post-production

• Collaborating with creatives involved in the project

• Collecting assets and organizing provided media including logos, fonts, and brand guidelines from clients

• Immersing yourself in our clients’ brand to ensure expectations are met

• Ensure all health and safety conditions are met

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proven track record of video producing with a production company, agency, or similar (5 years)

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the entire video production process

• Experience on a video production set

• Knowledge of video production gear, software, and terminology

• A functional understanding of video mediums and distribution resources

• Personable and professional towards stakeholders, talent, vendors, and crew

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Detailed with Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Pages

• Excellent organizational skills

• Flexible schedule and the ability to work long and/or irregular hours in various conditions

• Stand, walk, and work on their feet for extended periods of time

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Project management training and/or degree/certification

• Adaptability to Aurora Films processes

• A willingness to offer process improvements based on your experiences

• The ability to exercise judgement
