FREELANCE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY:
Aurora Films is seeking a Freelance Production Assistant (PA). The PA is an entry-level position and roles will vary by production day. Ideal candidates are self-driven, punctual, and take direction well. Applicants should have an understanding of the full video production process from pre-production through post-production. They should be adaptable, resourceful, and must work well with others in a deadline-driven environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting crew members and clients
Preparing and packing items
Handling production paperwork
Protecting the set from the public (lock down)
Maintaining a clean and clear working environment for all
Run errands and assist with production logistics
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A valid drivers license and reliable form of transportation
Good written and verbal communication
Personable and professional towards clients, vendors, and crew members
Knowledge of video production gear and terminology
Flexible schedule and the ability to work long and/or irregular hours in various conditions
Stand, walk, and work on their feet for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience on a video production set (1 year)
A desire to learn and grow your career in video production
High attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions
Excellent organizational skills
The ability to exercise judgement
